Driving better development through evidence and collaboration

The development challenges of now – and the future – demand new approaches, more diverse perspectives, and better use of research, evidence, and learning.

The RDI Network Exchange 25 Conference will bring together researchers, practitioners and policymakers from Australia and the Indo-Pacific region – in person and online – to share knowledge, connect with each other, and help disrupt and transform the development landscape.

Exchange 25 is more than your average conference. With an emphasis on interaction, Exchange 25 provides opportunities for individuals working in diverse organisations – NGOs, universities, government and the private sector – and across the region, to learn from each other, and identify ways to bring their unique strengths together to contribute to better development.

Presented by the Research for Development Impact Network (RDI) and the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney, Exchange 25 will:

  • showcase future-focused research that provides practical solutions to key development challenges

  • shine a light on practices and learning from development organisations working across the region

  • create connections to enable co-design and collaborative practice, bringing together unique skills and experience

  • provide researchers, practitioners and policymakers from across the region with opportunities to think in new ways

  • provide a platform for real and courageous conversations, including about decolonising development and development research.
